  • Affordable study program, university, and country

Overall expenses of studying abroad always depend on which place the student is choosing. `Also, which program attracts student the most. For example, in the United Kingdom, all public universities have one fare, which is £9,000 a year (just for studies). Whereas in different countries it may depend on the university itself and the fares that it charges for studies. Nevertheless, students have to realize that the prices of studies are not the only indicator of how much money they will spend. It is also about the choice of the country. Different countries, different prices of living.

  • Part-time job

If a student is planning to study abroad for a year or even become a full-time international student, Hellouni always suggests to consider a job possibility.  It is popular among abroad students to get a part-time job, which usually means around 20 hours of work (per week). However, it is not easy to get a job if a student has visa restrictions or intensive course in university. On the other hand, at least 5 hours of weekly working might help the student to cover his food expenses and some bills.

Note: in order to get a better job opportunity, Hellouni recommends students to arrive at their study abroad destination a bit earlier. Which means arriving at least 2 weeks earlier than the University begins. By doing this, international students can apply for jobs earlier, go to interviews and receive an offer before everyone else does. Also, if you are giving away paper CV's, always call a manager and give him/her CV in hands. It is because regular staff might accidentally (or not) throw away your CV which will never reach the manager.
