Diving into Steemit with caution and curiosity / I can blog and receive compensation? wtf hell yea

Hello Steemit!

-inserting proof I am real and not a robot-

Yup. Thats me in all my glory. As natural as it gets. No makeup, messy bun and in my sarong (because who needs clothes when you're home? pshhh) Also featuring my shitty ass handwriting. It is what it is. -shrugs-
Well here we go ~
I am excited about this new platform, but I must admit I am also skeptical. Maybe this is due to my over analyzing personality, but it is nice to be apart of something new and watch it grow and develop. I was directed here by a friend of mine known by the name @TheDashGuy. He is heavily involved in the online world and is quite intelligent about the interwebs.
I myself am a young female identifying person whom is well involved in the social media world. I enjoy posting on Facebook, watching other peoples snap stories and occasionally scrolling through pinterest while I doze off to sleep. I have blogged before, but was never a persistent or dedicated blogger. I am interested to see how Steemit will push and encourage me to continue blogging and being involved with this new community.
Oh, and here is a picture of my face before I go on rambling about a few things about myself.

I am a nanny who recently graduated from UW with my bachelors degree. By doing full time running start for the last 2 years of my high school career I was able to graduate from UW at only 20 years old. Although this is a big accomplishment, it does come with a lot of stress and high expectations. Like a lot of young people, hell people in general, I do not know what I am doing with my life. Throughout my college experience I only became more and more confused. I am at the point of growth where I am taking life day by day and seeing where I go. One thing I know for sure is that no matter how much planning you do you will never know what life throws ahead of you. Looking back even just a year ago so many things have happened and changed that have put me where I am at today. This realization has been difficult because I am someone who can be a bit controlling. Letting go and just appreciating life as it is has allowed me to become more positive and optimistic. I am not quite sure what I will be focusing on when I blog...finding myself? my journey? internal thoughts? who knows. Shoot, it may be a bit of a roller coaster at times, but it does feel good to let things off my chest.

But hey! One badass thing I accomplished was going to Thailand for about 3 weeks. Absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend it. I will have a more detailed post about my experiences and such but heres a picture of me scuba diving for the first time. :)

~beware: inserting mushy stuff below~
One last thing before I wrap up my very first post on here, I have to share an image of my love and I. We have been together for almost 6 years and through all of our ups and downs I am forever grateful to his love and support. Relationships can be hard, but when you find someone who is your best friend it makes everything much more enjoyable.

Alright everyone! Until next time. xox.
