ADVICE FROM PAPA VIDEO SERIES - VIDEO 3 - Tips For Newer Users on Steemit
Don't get discouraged, give yourself the possibility of success!
Steemit can be tough and it is hard not to compare yourself to others. Avoid comparing yourself to others, and focus on making sure that you are improving and progressing over time. Also, realize that the only way you are guaranteed to fail is by quitting. As long as you do not quit, you have the possibility that you will do better. If you quit, that possibility is removed. Do not get discouraged.

THE STEEMIT "LOTTERY"
Here is the post that I referenced in the video: HOW TO PLAY THE STEEMIT LOTTERY
It is hard to imagine that I made that post over 1400 followers ago, but I glanced it over and it still seems very accurate. I was actually amazed at how much good information was included in that post. If you are interested, please check it out. It may help you.
@papa-pepper 🎩 HATS off to you, papa-pepper! You did it again. I like what you said, Compare yourself to yourself. Again THANKS FOR MAKING THESE VIDEOS. They are helping a lot of people including me😊
People sure do like them, so thanks so much for the idea. I am glad to help, but not always sure how to!
I know. I haven't started writing post yet, I have mainly commented and did a lot of reading others. Just trying to learn more. Congrats on your baby 👶Precious!
These videos are very informative. I believe once you are done with the series, submit it to Steemit help. I have so far found these 3 videos more informative than most of the text on that page.
Wow, what a compliment! I'll keep them coming.
Watching it now and its helping me grown my channel as well. In 8 days I'm past 100 followers and just wrote a fun post about it.
Excellent news! Congratulations!
I have also been using steemit help (effectively I might add) but it is really nice to get the videos. It makes the uphill struggle (anything worthy SHOULD be a little difficult) more interactive. A big thanks!
Good point. If it is worthy, is should be a little difficult.
Yes, there's a balance, i.e. no good without bad, everything would just BE.
Question: When is it appropriate to "resteem" someone elses post? Should one ask permission first or is it more like a "retweet" on Twitter?
It just makes that post show up in the feed of your followers. No need to ask.
A perfect example of how Steemit is unlike any other social platform. Thank you @papa-pepper!
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
NeverBe a Quitter!
Really like that
"Not to compare to others, or Mr.Pepper - Compare yourself "
And for the Encouragement part...
papa-pepper,
The advice you give is very encouraging. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos. The phrase "Compare yourself to yourself" goes well beyond Steemit, it's a good way to live your life. Compare you from yesterday, last week, last month to you today and figure out if your moving towards your goals.
Thanks,
Sheeps
Good one, you always know what you talking about.
I'm glad that you think so. Thanks a lot.
Mr helpful at it again, thanks again papa. And there are no snakes crawling around.
Not this time @len.george. You'll have to find something else to eat...
Must try your road kill sandwich next time
