Our ship almost sank! Thank God we were rescued! Daddy you're the best!! Day of the Seafarer #seafarersmatter
There are many factors which can combine to make life at sea dangerous...
Long voyages, fatigue, human error, unknown variables/unseen circumstances, poorly maintained vessel, storms, fire, pirates etc
SEAFARERS are the modern heroes of the sea. Working far from home and family oftentimes for companies whose foremost objective is to maximize profits.
Please pray for seafarers! And remember the 25th June (6 months from Christmas) every year is the Day of the Seafarer!
What have seafarers brought to you and your country today?
Maritime transport is the backbone of international trade and the global economy. Around 80% of global trade by volume and over 70% of global trade by value are carried by sea and are handled by ports worldwide. These shares are even higher in the case of most developing countries.Please follow and upvote to show your support for the taxi men and women of the sea! Thanks and more power to SEAFARERS!
A life at sea is just as perilous as it ever was.
Psalm 107;23-30
They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
They see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
