RE: Helpful Suggestions from the Community - Community Input Requested for the Welcome Page

in #help8 years ago (edited)

Many come to Steemit wanting to earn rewards, but I think that's the wrong approach. Come here to give, not take. Get involved in projects and help out where you can. If you do, you'll find that votes will be flowing in. Many of the people at the top of the trending page probably aren't there because they're the best bloggers; it's likely they're highly involved behind the scenes.

I've been wondering lately, is this page written in any other languages than English? Would it be a lot of work to have links to separate language sections if people contributed the translations?

I believe that there is a larger effort to have the entire website (including the welcome page) support translations. They may request community support for the translations once the framework to support them is in place.

Thanks for letting me know.

of course they come to steemit for rewards. why wouldn't they? thats what steemit is, a site that gives rewards. Anything that has money involved will always be different once a reward is involved. personally i believe most users on steemit are not posting from the heart but from the wallet. they are constantly looking for the next idea that will generate a return.
