RE: SEC S20W1 || Hematology [Hematopoyesis - Modulo 1]
As a doctor myself and coming from a family with over 6 doctors, I'll be delighted to take part in this contest soon, but in my opinion the clinical case that you presented might be a bit too much for those who have no whatsoever affiliation with the medicine field. I'm not sure if even a lot of them understand the terms glomerular filtration, nephropathy, creatinine etc. Infact, when I read the application post from you two, @dexyluz and @aaliarubab, I got to know that Aalia is currently enrolled in the FSC second year. I'm sure Aalia would agree with me when I say that in Pakistan, you don't get clinical scenarios like this one till Med school.
I don't want to be a party pooper but I think a lot of users here might copy paste the entire clinical scenario to Chatgpt and copy paste the answer here. What do you think @dexyluz?
Secondly what does this mean?
Who would be the ideal person to donate blood to?
Is this a grammatical typo? Or am I not able to understand the question?

Con respecto a los términos términos puedo acotar lo siguiente:
Puse en el caso clínico que ''se le solicitan exámenes'', pero es simplemente para hacer un poco de relleno, porque con lo que dije a continuación ni si quiera necesitarías saber para que sirven dichos exámenes (Pero si sabrías que son Exámenes por lo mismo, por ''Se le otorga una orden de examenes''):
Inmediatamente hago saber el diagnóstico. Los casos clínicos de la universidad son mucho mas complejos porque tienes (con los resultados de laboratorio) dar un diagnostico de la enfermedad y explicar que está ocurriendo en el paciente. Sin embargo para que sea mas entendible puedo cambiar la palabra ''Nefropatía por diabetes tipo 2'' a solamente ''tenía una importante perdida de sangre y daño en los riñones por enfermedad crónica''
Y si tienes razón, alguien podría pasarse de listo, usar chat GPT para descubrir la respuesta, sin embargo no debería simplemente copiar y pegar la respuesta como dices (porque esa porción será analizada y detectada por los analizadores). Debería analizar con sus propias palabras lo que descubrió, no es así?
Y con respecto a esto:
El paciente tiene una perdida de sangre, quizás necesite donante. Cual debería ser el perfil del donante? me refiero a edad, tipo de sangre, si fuma o bebe alcohol, entre otras cosas parecidas.
Los buenos estudiantes, siempre harán preguntas, para eso están los comentarios. Si alguna persona tiene dudas con el caso clínico, puede preguntar con confianza y yo lo orientare. Queremos que los estudiantes de este curso desarrollen capacidad de análisis

Before your comment, I was discussing this post with my brother, who is also a doctor, and we were both aligned in thinking that the relationship between nephropathy and an RTA was quite weak. However, your clarification has cleared things up for me.

Regarding the clinical case, I noticed that the connection between diabetes and blood loss isn’t clearly explained. It’s crucial to include Hemoglobin (Hb) levels when discussing a CBC in the context of blood loss.

I absolutely agree with you and even after starting reading the contest I felt very sad for others, that is complex subject Hematology and very, very difficult. I can imagine that people will be searching in internet and copying the information but reciting, it is a shame because we wanted the peoples thoughts and not re-citing. I have tagged you in my comment below, as I felt that the organisers should know our opinion. I absolutely agree medical jargon has no place in such contest there are always simple words that we, as practicing medical staff using in order to explain to 90 y.o person or maybe 9 year old child that is something that organisers should be using so that users do not feel excluded from the challenge. Like you comment and very appropriate
