Herbal Tea Preparation

Herbal teas are of great use with less side effects and these are even without side effects if we use them carefully. These are made up of the natural things. And they support our body naturally.

I will be making a herbal tea to get relief from the stresses and anxiety. For this purpose I have chosen Ashwagandha. As it is really helpful to get relief from the stress and anxiety.

You will need:

  • Lavender 🪻
  • Water
  • Sugar

I have taken some quality of lavender 🪻 to use it for making the anxiety tea.

IMG_20241108_105247.jpg

I wanted to make a cup of tea so I took a cup of water in the container. And I put some quantity of lavender in the water. Take note that if you put more quantity than then the taste will become bitter so do not put much. If you have green lavender then just use one flower of it.

IMG_20241108_105121.jpg

Boil it for 5 minutes until its colour is changed. You can see the water is boiling and the colour is changing.

IMG_20241108_105054.jpg

Now it has boiled completely. And we can take it to release the stress and anxiety. Now I am filtering it so that I can take it easily. Filtration makes the smooth experience.

IMG_20241108_105028.jpg

After the the filtration the tea is looking very charming. And now it is ready to take. It's colour had become dark brown and now it was giving the fragrance.

As naturally it is bitter in taste. So I am adding some sugar in it to make its taste sweet and drinkable. After dissolving sugar. It was nice taking this herbal tea.

So in this way we can make a herbal tea to remove stress and anxiety.

Herbal Storage

If you are a herbal lover then you must know the storage of the herbal things specifically herbs. If we are unable to store the herbs in a proper way then the herbs will be spoiled. And in this way our money spent on the herbs will also become useless.

IMG_20241108_105316.jpg

I follow a universal method of storing herbs at my home. I believe that if we make the fresh herbs dry then we can save their health for the long term. We can preserve the herbs by drying them and then storing them in the appropriate containers.

You will be wonderful that how I have come to know about this method. Actually my mother is very much interested the herbs and using them in daily life. I see her how she preserves the herbs at home a d use them for the long term.

You know mint is also a herb. And it is available in the fresh form. When we buy it from the shopkeeper or bring it directly from the plants then it is in the green fresh form. My mother also stores this mint and similarly I know how to store mint for using it long time.

In order to make it dry and store it for the long term first of all it is washed completely. After washing it is is put in the sunshine for the dehydration. When the dehydration is completed then the colour of the mint becomes dark. And now we can store this herb for the future use. We can also grind it to make powder of mint and then we can use it for different purposes.

Similarly all the herbs are dried first and then we can store them for the long term preservation and usage. I have a good storage of the herbs at my home. You can see this storage in the picture which I have used at the top.

Home Remedy Creation

Herbal medicines are very useful for the simple as well as chronic diseases and most of the common ailments can be cured by making herbal remedies at home.

Today I will share a very easy and very useful home remedy with you. We can create this home remedy at home easily and I am sure these ingredients are available at each home. So let's start making a home remedy for the cure of the cold symptoms.

IMG_20241108_105423.jpg

You need these things:

  • Clove
  • Cinnamon
  • Water
  • Sugar

IMG_20241108_120045.jpg

Take some water in the bowl to boil clove and cinnamon in it. I am going to make one cup of the herbal cold tea. I have taken just 4 cloves and a piece of cinnamon for it. Because this quantity is enough for one cup of the tea and excess of this is bad.

IMG_20241108_120009.jpg

Boil it in the water for some minutes untill the colour of the water is changed because the cloves and cinnamon leave their colour when we boil them.

IMG_20241108_105221.jpg

When I saw all the effects of the clove and cinnamon has been extracted in the water I stopped boiling it and I filtered the cold tea in a cup.

IMG_20241108_105146.jpg

Then in order to make it drinkable I added some sugar in the cup. We can add sugar and honey in the tea according to our choice and need. In home sugar is easily available so we can use it as well to get a sweet herbal remedy for the cold. Nowadays I am feeling cold due to the change in the weather so it is very useful for me and I have taken it sip by sip.

So dear fellows you can also make a herbal remedy at your home and according to the weather conditions I have made a herbal.remedy for the cure of the cold.

Herbal Infusion Experiment

I have learnt preparation of the infusion from the lesson and I am now confident to make an infusion for me.

1. Mint Infusion

We can make mint Infusion easily. Here is a step by step guide to make mint Infusion:

First of all you need to have mint. You can take mint in the fresh form as well as in the dried form. But the fresh mint will infuse slowly in the water and the dry mint will.imfuse quickly in the water.

IMG_20241108_105554.jpg

  • I have taken a glass of water.

  • Then I have put some dried mint in the water.

  • The reason of using dry mint is that it will infuse rapidly in the water.

  • I have put the mint in the water for some time.

IMG_20241108_105000.jpg

  • The colour of the water has changed. It means the mint has infused in the water successfully.

  • The fragrance was also coming from the mint infuse.

  • Now it was ready to take.

My thoughts

This mint infuse is for the digestion. It boosts the activities of the digestive system. It makes the stomach healthy and helps it to digest food easily and quickly. When the infuse was ready then the colour of the water was changed. I will quote that my mother uses the infusion of mint. It helps her to make her digestive system strong and protect from the vomiting. I also took this infusion and it has a mint like taste because of the mint. It was easy to drink.

2. Ashwagandha Infusion

IMG_20241108_105653.jpg

I brought Ashwagandha from the outside. I searched it from the fields. And finally I found it on one side of the field. I cut the plant and brought it at home. It became fade and week.

IMG_20241108_105621.jpg

  • I took a glass of water
  • I took some leaves and petals of fresh Ashwagandha
  • I put the herb in the water
  • I placed it still for some time.

IMG_20241108_104932.jpg

  • After some time I only noticed one change in this.

  • The leaves absorbed water in them and they became fresh again.

  • The effect of the leaves was also in the water.

  • As it was fresh so I could not see the change in the colour of the infuse.

  • Now this Ashwagandha infuse was also ready to drink.

My thoughts

This infuse is useful to get relief from the stress and anxiety. It removes stress from the body by making it relax and calm. This infusion is also helpful to cure the body pain. It can help to release cholesterol from the body. Those people who want to become smart by releasing their fat and weight then it is the best option for them.

I invite @fombae, @josepha, @chant to join this learning challenge.

Thank you for your feedback. I deed health is wealth and we should focus on our health.

It is therefore important to store the herbs and spices in a proper way so that the benefits you are likely to achieve from them are boosted. To store herbs, be sure to dry them effectively using the hanging method in small bundles in a cool, dry hiding place or using a dehydrator if possible. After drying they should be put in airtight glass jars or other dark containers to prevent exposure to light and humidity. Write the herb on the jars you use to ensure you know which one is fresh if it was harvested recently. Many people trim the herbs while still wet, hence it is wise to make sure that the herbs are stored away from heat and humidity.

For basic blends, ordinary plants effective for treatment embrace camomile, peppermint, and ginger. Scones are versatile biscuit-like product that can be served during breakfast, tea, lunch or dinner – simply mix flour, baking powder and sodium bicarbonate, add dried fruits or nuts and bake for 8-12 minutes. Peppermint is useful in controlling headaches, migraine and gastrointestinal disorders. Massage it on the temple for treatment of headache or take peppermint tea for digestion. Ginger For nausea and inflammation, slice fresh ginger and boil it in water for tea, preferably warm. Turmeric paste formed by ground turmeric with a pinch of black pepper may be treated directly to the affected joints or mixed with food to reduce inflammation. The final natural remedy is Echinacea tea which reinforces immune system during cold season through brewing dried echinacea in hot water.

It is possible to maintain good health naturally by storing herbs appropriately and following such simple remedies, for instance.

Thank you so much. You are right it is necessary to store the herbs properly for their proper and long term benefits. We can maintain our health with the help of these natural herbs.
