HF19 + Busy.org + Extra time = Creative success and rewards!

in #hf197 years ago (edited)

Like many of users on Steemit, I was a bit concerned about what would happen when hard fork 19 dropped. Would the new linear reward curve increase my small 7-cent voting reward, or would it get smaller?

I was astonished to find that the amount of my upvotes at full power would increase by a factor of 200x's! From a few cents, now my votes can give much more, especially to posts that already have earned over $10.

I'm ecstatic that the voices of the minnows have been heard throughout all these months. What an exciting time for those new Steemians who are creating their first posts and earning hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars. I salute you and your newfound addiction that will become Steemit!

I also plan to post more using Busy.org, as the rewards are out there and can only be mined with action! Busy makes posting to the Steemit blockchain easier, especially pictures. For more information on Busy, this post provides an overview of the Steemit app:

Also, I will post a few poems on Busy this week inspired by my story "The Girl and the Pendulum" - https://steemit.com/fiction/@michaeladamparis/the-girl-and-the-pendulum-an-original-story-part-1

Also, a big thanks go out to the Steemit Crew and Witnesses who helped make the hard fork happen. Thank you for bringing equality to the users of Steemit! This will help our group grow and bring much more creativity and rewards to all!

I was expecting some introduction to busy.org in this post but there is not any. Little bit disappointed thought.
I am a regular user of chainbb now and just came across busy.org yesterday. Would like to researh more about this tool that why I came in this post.

Go to Busy.org, and select log in. If you are totally new to Busy, you want to Create an account, but since it links into your Steemit account, you should login. Then it should automatically see that you are logged into Steemit, and you should click "Log in". If your Steemit password is not already there, then type it in (the long password given to you at the beginning). From there, it's easy to post (just click the pencil under your profile picture. It pulls almost all your information from Steemit!

Sorry, went back and realized some things about Busy when I made some edits. First, animated Gifs don't seem to stay animated in Busy. Next, if you try switching out images, be careful because you may delete entire swatches of text (which I did and when I went back to rewrite the last part of my post, I forgot to add back any mention of Busy). I have added a link into the post that has important information about Busy from the creators. Have fun with it, and watch your edits carefully!

In my opinion, it's great! And it does not seem like my voice does not cost anything. :)

yes its cool to be able to give more now, like every upvote is giving... before you had to wait to get some power some become less active... now the skys the limit

That's quite a surprise, indeed! I saw my votes going from 0.01 each to 0.37 :O
my only question is if this is sustainable. I mean, what are the long term consequences of it? We will know in the long term, right? So no hurry :)

I've been thinking about that, too. I think it's going to affect the curve... so that everyone will see lots of rewards now but it will begin to equal out. Kind of like when a classroom is graded on a curve, it tends to equal out. So if a lot of people "get A's", it means that you have to get A's more frequently to keep getting an A. So people who do not post will probably see their numbers shrink.

That kinda makes sense. Also, from what I get what has changed was the strength of the vote, but our total voting power is still the same. So in the end, it is like if the speed of water is bigger, but the amount of water is the same.

Lol so far we are all safe, and making more money!

is that plasticfork:)

hahah yes. still hard, but maybe not permanent! ;)
