Hike to Sabotino a ww1 battlefield hill
This is my favorite place to just go and spend some time, usually there i only meet few ppl, isn't really popular as is quite an annoying ride to the start of the top trails.
On this mountain fought Italians against Austro-Hungarian's during ww1 and the place is still full of shrapnels, spent arty shells and unexploded ones (not many left but you can find em off trail)
Once there was a small stone church on it but now only ruins lay there.
Sunsets can be quite nice from there but lots of time there is this fog that kinda makes it a bit meh but still nice :D
During the war both sides dug holes in the rock to position small artillery to control the traffic around the mountain
From these last pics you can see that this mountain was a strategic point of control for the whole area, with a big enough arty you can hit pretty much anything in the plains ahead
Hope you like some of the pics :D
