Jim Rogers Weighs In On The World's Problems With The U.S. Dollar

Jim Rogers, legendary investor and author of Hot Commodities, has a message for America Don't blame the dollar when things go awry.

The dollar is not falling, Rogers said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Tuesday. The dollar appreciates against all other currencies.

These comments do not appear to be in line with President Donald Trump, who has voiced opposition to the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates and the strength of the US economy. In a tweet last week, he claimed that the actions of the Fed are causing our economy to falter. But Rogers doesn't believe higher interest rates will cause problems for Americans who own homes and stocks. In fact, he thinks it could be good for consumers by making borrowing more expensive.

You'll see more home sellers, he said in response to Trump's claim that rising interest rates will lead to another housing crisis like the one that happened in 2008. That's scary for with me because I've been here long enough if you can't afford a house anymore, you can live somewhere else.
