Cut Nyak Dhien, Commander of War and Serikandi from Aceh Darussalam
As a 'capital area' for Indonesia, Aceh Darussalam has a series of national heroes. The spirit of the nation's children is seen from the terrible war that raged in this region. Not the sophistication of war equipment or the like that Aceh possesses, but because of the never-ending flame of nationalism within the Acehnese People.
More than that for the people of Aceh, the war against the Netherlands is a war to defend religion. Based on this is what makes the war raging so that the area in the western tip of Indonesia is the only one who can not be conquered by the colonist at that time.

Facing Aceh rebels who are known to be persistent and not afraid to die.
In a fierce battle, Teuku Umar moved to Meulaboh which is now West Aceh District and was shot there by the invaders.
The struggle was then followed by his wife, Cut Nyak Dhien who then took over by direct directing the war forces in Serambi Mecca.

It was there that he breathed his last and was buried in the local area.
