Paril:The Walled Community

The word "Paril" means wall. during the Spanish era, the spaniards built a perimeter fence for the elites of the spanish government and community. The wall with gates is a security measure used by spaniards to protect against attack by the so called rebels.

The walls are handcarved stones and manually piled through forced labor. Corals are burnt and powedered to be used as cement. The eggwhites are mixed into the powder to form a plaster.
