Dixon-Washburn Log House.
I'm sharing a picture and A little bit of information with you about this Historical cabin. This is the Dixon-Washburn Log House. It originally stood at Logan's Gap. Union Township. It was constructed in 1793 by indian scouts William Dixon and Cornelius Washburn who became residents of Brown County. Dixon lived in this house until 1800. The house was moved to it's present site-The Brown county Fairgrounds,Georgetown Ohio in 1976. They still take donations to restore the cabin. When the cabin was moved the stones were numbered so the fireplace could be rebuilt as it was originally.
I do remember seeing it at the fairgrounds.
