~12800 yrs ago : BOOM!

in #history7 years ago

Been following publications about the Younger Dryas boundary for almost ten years. It's been fun to watch the ping pong match between experimental scientists (proponents of the cosmic-impact scenario) and the educated guess scientists, the same that pollute TV screens and MSM media with their "settled science" platitudes.

BTW, if science was ever settled, then there would be no reason to pay any professional scientist anymore.

Anyway, this one seems to be a doozy and I just printed it for some fun reading this week:

"Extraordinary Biomass-Burning Episode and Impact Winter Triggered by  the Younger Dryas Cosmic Impact ∼12,800 Years Ago. 1. Ice Cores and  Glaciers" by Wendy S. Wolbach et al.
