A diver as he ascends from the oily interior of the sunken battleship USS Arizona. Photograph released May 23, 1943.
That would have to be terrifying to go down into a sunken ship like that. I couldn't imagine the darkness.

    What an image.....The representation is enormous. Just the idea that men had to step up and do this is overwhelming.
