Famous places to visit in Lumbini

 Lumbini is the holy site for all Buddhists. But there are other various sites that are quite famous and are the main attraction of Lumbini. They are: 

 Maya Devi Temple
The Maya Devi temple and the tank which is near to the temple are a part of the sacred and holy complex. Maya Devi was the mother of Lord Buddha and there are two panels showing Maya Devi holding the Sal Tree and the young Buddha emerging out of her on the right side and taking seven steps. 

 Devdaha
Devdaha was the ancient capital of Koliya Kingdom. This place was where Prince Siddharthaspent his early childhood. After seven years of attaining Nirvana, Gautama Buddha visited Devdaha. 

  Ashoka Pillar
Ashoka Pillar is another attraction of Lumbini. The Great Emperor Ashoka visited here and erected an inscribed pillar marking the birth of Buddha.
