Adin Dinajpur district is now divided into five parts. The districts of Bangladesh are Dinajpur, Thakurgaon and Panchagarh. And the districts of West Bengal of India are named after South Dinajpur (Balurghat), North Dinajpur (Raiganj).
Just as it has been broken in a day, people's mentality, values and conscience have been broken.
District Dinajpur was newly formed during the Pakistan period with eight thanas taken from Jalpaiguri with around 20 police stations of former Dinajpur district.
The journey of Dinajpur district started from Ghoraghat in 1784 through the transfer of the district headquarters.
