RE: On Memorial Day - If You Want To "Support The Troops" Save Them (And Their Victims) From War
All I can say is: it is easier for people to believe a lie than that they have been lied to.
I don't know the solution but I do know this: in all my years of traveling to over thirty countries and having met people from a hundred more I have found one universal truth. They, all of them want peace.
War is and always has been a rich old man's game played out by the underprivileged youth. And for over 200 years the goal has not really been anything other than complete control of the world's economy.
The political power and distraction that comes with it are just bonus tools of manipulation.
As the world and our bloody history becomes more and more transparent, ignorance of the facts becomes more and more a choice for each individual.
I still have hope in humanity. And after spending time in the military, then the clandestine services for quite a few years it's much harder for me to just generalize soldiers as "the military."
And as you say, many of them were in difficult situations and promised an easy out... Free education, job training, travel the world, global force for good, army of one, blah blah Bullshit.
I like to believe we are coming to a point in history where these ones that seem to hold all the power will be revealed for what they are: charlatans with big machines to convince us they are wizards and we are powerless to resist them.
They want us to believe they are gods with an all seeing eye. But the truth is: their full power is us. You, me and our mommas.
You can try to kill the thousand headed dragon by cutting one head at a time and watch 7 more grow back. Or you can change the dragons heart, which is us.
Nice post brother. Thank you.
