history exam
Tomorrow I have a history exam. I decided to share with you what you saved. I want to know your opinions. https://www.google.tn/search?q=tunisie&client=ms-android-samsung&prmd=tinv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjoj9GUnffaAhUEYlAKHR-DBhYQ_AUIESgB&biw=360&bih=560#imgrc=ETYC83Wpu_LcnM:
At the beginning of the Islamic conquests, Hassan ibn al-Nu'man built the city of Tunis, commissioned by the governor of Egypt, Abdul Aziz bin Marwan, at the direction of Caliph Abdul Malik bin Marwan. The aim was to build a seaport and build a military base to repel the Byzantines attack on Carthage in 78 AH.
During the reigns of the Abbasid caliphate, the city of Tunis flourished and was part of several independent Islamic states that followed the rule of the region. The most important of these were the Aghlabids, the Fatimids, the Almorabids and the Monotheists, and then became the capital of the Hafsid state in the seventh century AH.
In 1591, the Ottomans ruled Tunisia, and the Bayat (military governors) ruled it in a semi-independent manner from the Ottomans. At that time the city flourished and constituted a major trade route and center for the control of maritime navigation and protection of the coasts.
The municipality of Tunis was founded in 1858 by the leader Hussein, who became the first sheikh of the city (until 1865). In 1881 the city of Tunis and the entire country became under French protection.
