Historical of Gunongan

Gunongan or building in the form of white mountains for the people of Banda Aceh have significance and a deep impression. Because the building was built by the Sultan Iskandar Muda of the famous King In Aceh for the empress Princess Kamaliah from Pahang, Malaysia.

The building Gunongan is advidence of love Sultan Iskandar Muda to Princess of Pahang who is always remembered her hometown in Pahang, Malaysia that hilly. Sultan Iskandar Muda built the small mountain (Gunongan) to comfort his Princess in the back of the castle to cure the longing for her hometown in Pahang.
