A visit to Ozalla

in #history7 years ago

I was at Ozalla today wanting to know about the history of the land. As usual i will need to speak with an elder of the land who may know so much about the land and people. I didnt see anyone who could and so i decided to take a picture of the statue that speaks about the birth of the land IMG-20180119-WA0012.jpeg
This statue is said to be of the man who first settled in the land. It is not clear if the elephant is a baby elephant, or if the man was so powerful that an elephant became a baby on it. I am eager to know this history and i will be visiting back to get an elder that can give me a exact story of the birth of Ozalla. I am sure it will be an interesting story. The statue is at the center of town and everyone entering the town always notice this statue. Many times, the history behind a statue especially those of a town or city is always fascinating. I am looking forward with great excitement.IMG-20180119-WA0010.jpeg

A funny thing I discovered. We miss and start yearning for home only when we've been away for long.

You are very right. Somehow when there is a connection to our homes, there is always a pull that makes you long more for home

Wow this is a really nice statue! I don't know why, but it's quite intriguing 😄

Certainly. History is always like an onion layer, we hardly reach the core

Nice pictures, I ll be happy to know more about the man and the elephant.. I will be on the outlook for your next post on reason why the elephant became a baby on it @outhori5ed

I am really longing for that too. I will make a post on it as soon as i am well informed on it. Will be traveling back there tomorrow
