Playing chess on the graves
More than 70 years my Mariupol has a square where during the occupation of the town by German and Romanian soldiers since 1941 they buried their dead.
List all of buried already known.
It is located 160 graves there and was a huge cross on the grave of a German general.
When in 1943 the city was liberated by Soviet army then Communist authorities simply demolished all of crosses and built on the graves the square with fountain where in prasent playing children and the aged people play chess.
Outlines some of the tombs show through the Asphalt of parkways.
Is not it scary to walk after work through the park at night knowing that you step on graves of somebody ?
Since 2010 the remains of those killed they have promised to remove out from the park and reburied elsewhere for visit the graves of relatives ones killed. But unfortunately did not.
