Chapter five. Between the USA and the USSR. 

After the second World War ha finished Josip had another problem: Both the USA and the USSR wanted to get Jugoslavia in their sphere of influence, and both of tis countries were much stronger than  Jugoslavia. The first thing he has done was breaking with the Soviet Union. This made Stalin, the leader of the USSR, furious and he ordered to his best agent in Italy and Jugoslavia to kill Marshal Tito by givig him a present with a poison throwing system, but this wasn't realised because of Stalins death in 1953.   His way.  Khruschev came to power the period of "ottepel" started in relations between Jugoslavia and the Soviet Union. But still only one third of Jugoslavian trade was with socialistic countries.

 At this time the economy of Jugoslavia flourished such corporations as Fiat and Cîtroen built their factories in this socialistic country. The SOKO factory produced fighter jets for Jugoslavia and abroad . 

Her majesty visited Jugoslavia at that time. She was impressed with Tito and siad: "If this person is a locksmith, I am not the queen!". Although the person Tito respected the most was Lenin, he had a train, three yachts and more then thirty luxurious villas. People in Jugoslavia had a joke: 

- How many wives Tito had?

- Nobody counted, I can only tell how many willas he has!

During his lifetime  had four wives!

In  1961  on board his luxurious yacht "Galeb", which is now left in Rijeka harbour where you can see it today, Josip Broz Tito traveled to Asia and Africa. In the same year the Non-Aligned movment was established during Belgrad conference by Josip Broz Tito, Gamal Abdel Naser and Jawaharlal Neru. Josip Broz Tito became the leader of the non-aligned world.
