Race Summary

This was one of those strange races that whilst watching it, I found it to be fairly boring but then I think about what happened and there was quite a lot of action. Magnusson and Hamilton making contact on the first lap and sending them both to the back of the grid. Hamilton suggesting to the team that they save the engine and subsequently putting in a remarkable drive to finish 5th.

A couple of drivers (Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen) got caught by a gust of wind at turn 4 - Sainz on lap 7, sending him tumbling down the order from 5th all the way down to 14th and Verstappen doing the exact same thing on lap 9, only dropping from 2nd to 4th. Both drivers also went on with a solid performance - Sainz finishing 4th and Verstappen going on to comfortably win the race, despite getting pissed off with his team with his DRS not working properly.

The most disappointed driver of the weekend will be Charles Leclerc though. Whilst leading the race by over 12 seconds, his car just gave up - forcing him to retire. He was understandably gutted as were those of us (i.e. me) who had him as their turbo driver.

So a strange race in that there was plenty of drama, but it didn't feel particularly dramatic. A Red Bull 1-2 (Verstappen beating Perez) and George Russell putting in an impressive performance to take the final podium position.

Race 6 Points

Despite having Charles Leclerc as his Turbo Driver, it was another great weekend for @titopx who scored 208 points with Red Bull + Sergio Perez contributing 143 of them.

Overall Rankings

@titopx's top score again extends his lead at the top of the table to 122 points - an impressive margin after just 6 races.

Having risen from 7th to 6th last race, @frafiomatale continues his rise up the rankings, this time overtaking @dave25 to move up into 5th.

There's a short turnaround before the Monaco Grand Prix next weekend and I suspect I won't be the only one rooting for Charles Leclerc in his home Grand Prix.
