🏎️ Fantasy F1 || Race 7 || Monaco
Monaco is a track that it's notoriously hard to overtake on and with cars being wider and longer than ever before, 2022 was to be no exception. When Max Verstappen stated that overtaking at Monaco would be impossible, the reporter laughed, knowing that Max Verstappen can get through gaps that even a draught can't.
So when Ferrari and homeboy Charles Leclerc locked out the front row, Leclerc was not only expected to finish his home Grand Prix for the first time, he was expected to win it.
Leclerc drove perfectly and didn't make a mistake all weekend but not for the first time this season, the Ferrari strategists managed to take him from 1st to 4th. Even managing to put himself behind his teammate who finished 2nd. Despite Max Verstappen only managing 3rd, Red Bull will have been delighted with the outcome of the race as Sergio Perez went on to win and they outscored Ferrari in the race for the constructor's championship.
How Ferrari got it so wrong is a mystery to me and this isn't the first time I've written this this season. Whereas last year, it was a close battle of the strategists between Red Bull and Mercedes, it looks like Red Bull have no competition in that regard this season.

With Red Bull and Ferrari both doing so well, there were plenty of close scores with @the-gorilla narrowly beating our league leader @titopx by just 3 points - scoring 199 with the following team:

@the-gorilla's top score has helped him to close the gap to the top but a margin of just 2 points makes little difference to the overall rankings.
It was a bad week for @dave25 who dropped below both @eve73 and @weasell with the only other move @wentv moving up to 9th ahead of @chrislybear.
