MANCHESTER UNITED LOST THE GAME BEFORE KICKOFF AGAINST LIVERPOOL

Nobody expected United to go to Anfield and put up one hell of a performance. We all knew they would loose but we expected them to loose with pride😹(as some teams prefer doing).

I must say, I didn't start watching the game from kickoff but in my mind I was praying united will get to the 10 minute mark before conceding. Maybe I was wrong😹. By the 6th minute they had conceded already to a Liverpool counter attack and everyone started blaming Maguire for the goal. They claim he was not on the same line with the other 2 defenders and it allowed Salah to run onto the pass.

He was the provider of the assist for the first goal. I must say when I watched it I didn't like it. It seemed too easy and it looked like they went to Anfield expecting they will be thrashed. I can understand that Liverpool would have used their tempo because they are competing for the league and a win will put them at the top of the table with 76 points.

Manchester city is yet to play their game in hand against Brighton and a win would put them on top surpassing Liverpool by a point. (Liverpool will be praying Brighton are able to keep city at bay) . If Brighton are able to get a draw then Liverpool will be ahead of city by a point and then Liverpool will hope they can continue with their good form.

Currently there are 6 games left to play with City having to play their game In hand today.

Now let's get back to the match.

In the whole of first half United were unable to test Allison in Liverpool's goal. To make it sound worse, they were not able to play a single shot(not even a blocked shot). This should be the worst United side I have seen a while.

The first goal was shambolic but the second goal was somehow better talking in favor of the United defense. Apart from the second goal which United conceded to a defense splitting pass from Mane I don't think those other goals should have been conceded.

In the second half they came out knowing they had already lost the match. Well the coach decided to make changes by bringing Sancho in to try in provide more quality in the oppositions 3rd. It brought something more to the team as they started creating chances. There was a situation where Sancho was left one on one with Alison but somehow he played the ball against Alison or should I saw Alison made a great save 🤔.

Well that summed up United's might in a whole. Liverpool then decided to put the game to bed by adding a 3rd in the 68th minute through Mane. That was the end of it and If United has left with a 3-0 defeat I would have been proud of them but instead they disappointed me further.

Well to be sincere I wasn't as disappointed as I was in the 85th minute because it was my fantasy captain (Salah) who grabbed the 4th making it his second of the night.

When the match ended I checked my fantasy points and realized I still had De Gea in goal😳. My goal keeper was drinking goals and I was seriously smiling 😂.

Overall I think United didn't have the fighting spirit and they went to Anfield knowing they were gonna loose the game and they did.

Thanks for reading.

That hadn't crossed my mind. I was wondering who was playing at Left Back that allowed Salah and Alexander-Arnold that entire side of the pitch to do whatever they wanted. Luke Shaw was probably closer to Salah than whoever was on the pitch at the time.

It seemed too easy and it looked like they went to Anfield expecting they will be thrashed

Paul Pogba knew 🤣

I think that United looked better at the beginning of the 2nd half because Liverpool were resting. It was too easy so they stopped trying - just like they did at Old Trafford. After a little scare and Klopp getting angry, they tried a little bit harder and it was comfortable again. Allisson did his job superbly - he's so important for Liverpool to win trophies.

Paul Pogba knew 🤣

😂😂Someone said he knew they were gonna ne thrased so he faked an injury to get out of it

I wrote it at half time but laughed and said it as he walked off. There was nothing wrong with him and he had the choice of either pretending to be injured, or getting himself sent off.
