Messi's penalty miss & my reaction as a Fan.
Greetings. As we all know that Argentina are already qualified for Semi in this year Copa America 2024. They will face their group-stage rival Canada in Semi.

In the Quarter Final match against Ecuador, Argentina draw in game time. Late equaliser lead the match to penalty shootout. I didn’t watched the full match as where we live, the mach started in early morning like 06:00 AM. It’s tough to catch from beginning. When I started watching, Argentina was leading 1-0, a goal from Man Utd defender Lisandro Martinez.
In the time of penalty shootout, I was relaxed as we have keeper name Emi Martinez, who just born to be a beast at penalty. But, when Messi's Paneka hit the woodwork, I was a little bit worried. At that time, I had to motivate myself and it was the moment I realized I am a champion supporter. And this is what I feels that moment.
What I feels?
I am an Argentina fan since 2006. That time I was in class Six and was a child. The first matche I watched was against Serbia and Montenegro. That match Argentina won by a huge 6-0 margin. Young Leo Messi scored one and assist one. From that day I become a fan of them. Not only me but my hole friend circle became Argentina freaks. In that world cup, a tragic lose against Germany broke our young heart. At 2010, a lose of 4-0 again with Germany made the wait longer.
In 2014, I was at my graduation level. The way Argentina played, I hope this is the time. But Mario Goetze broke us again in his extra time goal. Lost in the Copa Final in the following year was also a moment of sorrow. Copa tragic happened again in 2016 which made Leo to made his retirement from International level. Not even close performance in Russia WC-2018 made us furious.
But, in 2021, things started turn back. At first, Argentina won Copa after a long long break. Though, start of the FIFA World Cup 2022 was harsh, still end of the day Messi & Co. made us happier then ever. Tears with joy! We made it!
And when Messi missed that penalty, I was like, I don’t need anything. I already got what I was waiting for. Became World Champions.. If Argentina lost the match and knocked out from the tournament, it’s not a big deal. Move on. I don’t want anything more.
With the brilliance of Emi, Argentina survived. Make their path to Semi. Two step away to defend the Trophy. Glorify Messi and Co. once again.
