Temptation looks sweet and full of fun or Ecstasy to the brim, but it only takes a strong desire to overcome it. For alcohol, you don't drink away your sorrows or pains, because they remain with you. So no need of being drunk to forget your pains, instead look for alternative measures with good friends and listen to their advice.
