Acting Regent Opens Tennis Tournament to Enliven the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
The Bireuen Regent's Cup tennis tournament to enliven the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia for two days Saturday - Sunday (3-4/8/2024) at the Pelti field in Bireuen City, has started rolling and was opened by the Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, PhD, Saturday (3/8/2024) morning.
The Head of Pelti Bireuen Regency, Muntasar, SH MH said that the men's double and women's double category tournament was attended by 98 pairs and was divided into several categories, namely the main class category A and category B intermediate and deginer.
"The main attraction is that previously mothers came here to accompany their husbands to practice, then the mothers also became interested in playing tennis and competed today," he said.
In order to improve facilities and infrastructure, Muntasar and the Pelti Bireuen management are also trying to get support from the Bireuen Regency Government, such as the field at least being an indoor field.
It was also said that Pelti Bireuen in 2025 will hold a special tennis tournament for the junior level. "This is our effort to provide coaching and produce tennis seeds for the future," said Muntasar.
Meanwhile, the Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan, said that in order to support the smooth running of training and coaching of tennis athletes, the Bireuen Regency Government will try to improve the quality of the Pelti tennis court, through this activity it is hoped that it can improve friendship.
He said that he was proud and happy, the condition of this tennis court has started to improve from before we first came, the condition of this Pelti field was worryingly destroyed and very dangerous because it was slippery and often fell and slipped during joint training, said Aulia Sofyan while thanking Bank Aceh for helping to repair it.
