I DRAW A PORTRAIT of my Parents for my Mom's Birthday!!! 😘🖍🎨

Hello again guys! I have another drawing prepared for my Parents but is dedicated to my Mom who will be celebrating her birthday this August. It's been a while and actually not my best style in drawing. Not my forte but let us explore art since art speaks every languages.

Art is love and one of the best creation existing in the whole world and universe.

Today I will show you a step by step though most of my steps have been photo corrupted and deleted so some of it weren't be posted well yeah because it has been corrupted. Anyway moving on. This are the materials I used from start to end.

Materials:

• Sketchpad
• Pencil (black lead pencil) 8B-2H
• 2B Faber Castel pencil (my favorite)
• Eraser 117
• Sharpener
• One cotton bud

And of course me. Well, yeah me. 😁
I only and mostly used 8B but started with HB since and lots of erasing. I'll explain why later.

So I started off with the trying figure out if I will continue this or not since I haven't done portrait in a long time a go, I wanted to upload the photo of the one that I based it on. But my Dad said no. So I didn't. So I am sorry if you wont see the difference of the original photo to my drawing.

I proceeded and constructed a light pattern so I could erase it easily. I went and go and told myself this is it. No more turning back. Don't waste a paper it is like destroying another tree, Hanna so go on! Believe in your skills.

And so I did. 😅

In this photos you might notice a change of light since the phone that I am using just had shutdown and used my other phone to took it. In this photo I already sketch how both the face would like. I also erased the pattern that I used on the previous photo. Since the photo I took was corrupted and only shows a black image I weren't able to show you how I form there face and eyes and also erasing the patterns. I am deeply sorry.

The next, actually the next after two of the corrupted photo, what I did is start first on my Dad, started of with his the hair, I got caught of and my Mom came in to the room so I covered it. Then continue the hair. I made it look more darker since I am using a charcoal pencil. So it'll be easier and faster to finish.

I also did some shadowing on the hair and on the face, then follow all what I see on the photo I am basing in. I finish it of lastly with my mom's portrait, carefully and delicately to make her beautiful as she is.
Just to tell you since you are not able to see the photo. The photo that I based in is an old photo of them taken on their anniversary 7 years ago.

So this is it! What do you guys think?
I did some enhancement of the image and lights because it was already 3 a.m in the morning. 😅 And I was actually doing two drawings so when my mom comes in, I will flip the page so she won't find out.

Meet my wonderful parents whom I love the most and so proud and so thankful that they are my parents, whom God gave to us.

I put it in a big frame as well and hang it on our wall. Also I edited my mom's nose since I know she will react about it.
