ACT OF KINDNESS: Sharing What Blessings We Received
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
Matthew 25:35
Getting up and doing something is the only way to avoid feeling helpless. Waiting for positive things to happen to you is a waste of time. You will fill the world with optimism, and you will fill yourself with hope if you go out and make some positive things happen. Hello, my cheerful giver steemians especially the strong women on this platform. Please allow me to share with you the Act of Kindness program initiated with me and my sisters @mira15, @mercy11 and @cinderela, together with my brothers @marzyoung22 and @cykri11 and my cousin @rye143 who has a heart of a cheerful giver.
Way back when I was an elementary pupil, there was a program entitled to feed those malnourished pupils and I was one of them. Every day my teacher would give us a vitamin to intake and every 3:00 pm they gave us nutritious soup. That was my routine way back when I was from grade one to grade 5. I was so grateful to my teachers that they chose me because at that time my parents can’t afford vitamins. To repay for their goodness, I imitate what their kind deed they’ve shown me.
The Preparation
After going to church, me, my brothers and sisters and my cousin planned to hold a feeding program. After discussing, I and my mother went to Robinson’s grocery to buy everything that we needed in the feeding program.
Here is what we bought in the grocery store and the receipt for it.
Since they don’t have slice bread and plastics for the sandwich and the juice, we decided to go to the public market wherein there are many bakeshops and sari-sari stores for the plastics.
After buying what we needed for the feeding program, we immediately prepare the sandwiches, candies and mix the juice.
The Distribution
After we prepare everything we went to the place where we hold the feeding, prepare the venue, and called the children. When the children arrived we let them lined up. We prioritized the small ones after the adults. Before we started the distribution we prayed first and thanking God for the blessings He has given us. We distributed more than 20 children and thanks to our supportive parents who helped us to make this program successful.
We can see through the eyes of the children their happiness when they received the blessings. They were thankful even though the small blessings we shared with them.
While it may seem small, the ripple effects of small things is extraordinary.;

While talking and laughing with them, they motivate me to do more and to continue this program. Their smile melts my heart and it really gives me joy.
Thank you everyone for giving us your time to read my blog.
