Hi Friends!

I didn't have work yesterday since it was a National Holiday here in the Philippines in celebration of the Filipino Heroes Day or "Araw Ng Mga Bayani" as we call it in Filipino.

This off from work means one thing for me, ample time for the things at home. And so, yesterday, this is how the holiday went like for me.

Morning

I woke up at 7:00 am, fixed my bed then went down and prepared the morning meal for everyone in the house. I cooked "Initlogang Sardinas", one of my all-time favorite breakfast food, and had it with Pork Lumpia. I got us coffee and milk too to complete.

These were what we had as viands in our morning meal yesterday - Sardines with egg sauteed in freshly chopped spices, and Fried Pork Lumpia with Catsup, also the all-time favorite fried food condiment of most of the "Pinoy".

Then, an hour after the breakfast, I started my housekeeping tasks. It took me almost 2 hours to finish them. It was a sweaty but productive morning.

Afternoon

After the lunch and the rest time from the house works. I headed to my older sister's house and brought the little present I had for my nephew and niece. I got them a portable inflatable pool to somehow spice up their homestay since they are still not allowed to go out. The restrictions are getting a bit tighter again due to the increasing number of active cases we have here in our city.

The kids couldn't contain their excitement so we inflated the portable pool right then. We were just using a portable hand pump for inflatables, so it took us a little while to finally get it ready for dipping.

After all the readying and preparations, the kids went swimming. They had fun that they couldn't help but make a giggling noise of it that was like music to my ears. Looking at them having enjoyed the water so much, I joined them. We played in the water and had some storytelling.

We were in the pool for almost 4 hours. At 6:00 pm, I went home.

Evening

After the freshwater bath and the dinner at 7:30 pm, I read a chapter of Napoleon Hill's book, "Think and Grow Rich". This is one of my most favorite books. I'm already on the fourth to the last chapter of it. I really love the teaching and wisdom shared in this book.

Finishing a chapter is how I ended my off from work yesterday. To sum up, it was a very fruitful day.

So that's all from me today. Thank you so much for your time. See you in the next one. Keep safe!
