Jizyah :

Jizyah was collected only from non-Muslims.

People who happily converted to Islam had the same rights as Arab Muslims and were freed from slavery and living,

and those who adhered to their religion had no compulsion in matters of religion but their lives and dignity A small amount of tax (jizya) was levied on them to protect them from the rich and the affluent,

from the middle and middle class to the dirhams per annum.

The poor and the needy were exempted from this every year and the names of the poor and those who provided immediate services.

It was not taken from them either.

After the implementation of Jizyah, some people converted to Islam and some remained steadfast in their ancestral religion.

               جزیہ کی وصولی صرف غیر مسلموں سے کی جاتی تھی ۔

        ایسے لوگ جو بخوشی مسلمان ہو گئے تھے ان کے حقوق عرب مسلمانوں کے مساوی تھے اور وہ غلامی اور جینے سے مٹتی تھے اور جو لوگ اپنے مذہب پر قائم تھے ان پر مذہب کے معاملے میں کوئی زبردستی نہ تھی لیکن ان کی جان و بال و آبرو کی حفاظت کے لئے ایک معمولی کی رقم کا ٹیکس ( جزیہ ) ان پر لاگو کر دیا گیا تھا جس

         د درمیانے اور متوسط طبقہ سے فی کس          ۲۲ درام سالانہ ۔ 

          غریب طبقہ سے فی کس                                   د رھم سالانہ

مٹور اور نادار اس میں سے مستثنی تھے اور ایسے افراد جو فوری
خدمات انجام دیتے تھے
ان سے بھی یہ نہیں لیا جاتا تھا ۔

جزیہ کے نفاذ کے بعد کچھ لوگوں نے باری اسلام قبول کر لیا اور کچھ لوگ اپنے آبائی مذہب پر قائم رہے ل جو لوگ اپنے آبائی مذہب پر قائم
رہے ان سے بہت بہتر برتاؤ کیا گیا ۔
