SLC S21W2/ Physical Activities for Child Development
Childhood days were days we played with no flip-flaps, scattering the dust in the air all in the name of soccer
When catching the ball, when catching the ball, I do like this; I do like this; I balance well; I balance well.
We did aerobic, anaerobic and flexibility physical exercises
Above is a call-and-respond kind of exercise, the exercise coach calls and the children respond, I did this many times when I was young, exercise raises my heartbeat and I will sweat and become tired but will never want to quit that race with a friend, sometimes I wonder where children obtain their energy from playing from morning till night and can only be stopped when dad or mom call them in, or probably they go rough where one person has an injury, the play will seize, the exercises here has a name which we call from when we were young but I introduced them to another new one known as yoga, these children were so happy when I called them to come and perform this physical activity, first we did "catching the ball", later it was touch your toe, the yoga, press up and then a dance.

They were all in my control and my care, and it was my responsibility to make everything fun even as they were using up their energy so that they really wouldn't feel so weak. If you noticed the girl didn't join in the press-up exercise, she was the youngest and already tired, so I made her rest for a while. The other boys, about the same age range of 6–8, were still agile and strong enough to do even more. Regardless of their strength, they still felt the impact of the pressup exercise.
Yes, they had fun, but I don't think there is any child's play in which exercise is not involved; once in a while, one person will take the other's doll and race, and the other will try to get his doll back. Squatting and standing upares part of exercise, especially when there are moulds with clay, so name it, a lot of children's play is exercise, but I wonder why they don't get tired of playing.
As I said earlier, some of them had never heard of yoga, so I had to do it first for them to follow. Even with this, the positioning of their legs was also a problem, so I helped them out and came back to my position. They requested water because they were already thirsty, but they were always ready to do even more.
I was more responsible for everything I did here as a teacher and a coach. I have learnt so far that during inter-house sport, break time, and sporting time on Wednesday, the teacher or sport master must always be there to supervise children's activities to ensure they perform them well, and as curious beings always want to see outcomes, they don't wound themselves while trying to perform these exercises.
Hold on, I have some VIDEOS for you |
