My daughter Making Hopscotch Court

Yes, we changed some rules.

  • Make boxes up to 8 just to reduce the time to complete the game.
  • We started the game with a younger player; it's our rule. If coins get out of court, it'll skip the player's turn.
  • If someone is out, we'll shout Ooooooo.

These all rules are for our convenience and in our interest, and we can break these rules at any point collectively.

Of the characteristics of traditional games that we have discussed, which ones do you think are present in the traditional game you chose?

Yes we've great fun and spend quality time together. In clapping game i have old rhymes that my friend's grandma sang with us. My youngest daughter was very excited to clap on these rhymes. Then I sang a rhyme in Punjabi language she started laugher. I feel very fresh on her innocent laughter. While my daughter rhymed in English and Urdu language. One was quite new ,fusion of old rhymes.

In Hopscotch I was the weakest player among three due to my knee pain. My kids were enjoying my uncomfortable hopping and I was feeling better that I can control my balance. My middle daughter played excellent game and she was the winner. Rahima youngest daughter was try to cheat her and i caught her every time. That was very interesting situation.

Playing ludo was exciting too. In this game, I won the match at last moment my daughter was bitten by snake at 99 number, she was winning but this made her losing game. Rahima was near to cry and i was laughing. Then she started new match again and this time she won. Rahima doesn't want to lose any game if it happens she always try new game until she wins and I like this she try again after loosing game. This learning gives her confidence.

Best moment is the relaxation of mind ,I'm very thankful to @anailuj1992 ,due to this task I go back to my childhood and spend active, cherish, quality time with my kids.
