I'm curious, are you willing to disclose how expensive a project like this is going to be? Not even talking about the hours you're putting into this personally, must be a lot, but the self-publishing for starters.
By the way, I'm kinda relieved I didn't make the cut honestly, because I don't feel too confident about my stuff anyhow. Lost all my momentum and did nothing but nested notes the last couple of months.

Of course! There will be exact accounts. My time shouldn't really play a role here - I take it for granted with such projects close to my heart.
In fact, I have "Melvin's last song" on my longlist, so if one of the authors decides against publication or doesn't get in touch at all, you'll take your place ;-))

Reminds me a bit of that parabel about the chinese farmer who kept saying "maybe" when people were commenting on his good luck, or the lack of. I guess you'll never know how things will turn out ultimately.
