The incomplete story...

This story is about a mysterious place where rivers of nectar flow in the mountains. There were trees whose fruits would cure all the diseases of any living body. All the pain would disappear just by stepping on this place. This place was as beautiful as it was full of mysteries.

At that time, humans did not exist here. To reach this mysterious world, one would have to cross a jungle full of dangerous animals, which was almost impossible for humans.

That was the time when there was no modern technology, but several people tried to go to this mysterious world, but they could never go beyond a certain point.

In a village close to the mysterious world, a young man named John lived with his mother. His father had died in his childhood. Since then, he has been taking care of his family as the man of the house. John's mother was weak and sick, so John took care of her. He used to work hard to earn a living for himself and his mother.

John once came home after several days. His mother, who was anxiously waiting for him, asked him as soon as he arrived, “Son, where were you all these days?”

John was a bit hesitant at first, but then he told his mother:

My complete story!

"Mother, welcome me first before you start asking where I have been; of course it's work."

But you have never stayed this long at work, so why is this one different? asked his mother"

Well, mother, this is different because there is good news at the end."

But... Oh Mother, you ask too many questions; don't worry, your son is here and never leaving your sight for so long again.

So tell me, what have you been doing in my absence?

But why didn't you tell me that you won't be back so soon? I missed you.

That is because, if I had told you, you might not approve of it, but mother, I'm sorry, ok.

Well, I was missing my son every day, and I couldn't eat well; you know, we eat together each day.

Am so sorry, mother; don't worry, I am back now, so I will take good care of you.

Ok, I prepared your favorite. I hope we can eat now, although I still feel sick, but I managed to cook so that we don't go hungry.

Oh, mother, you are the best, but not to worry, you will soon be well again.

Hmm, this food is tasty, John exclaimed as he enjoyed his meal. Thank you, mom!

After the meal, John thought it was time to tell his mother where he truly went.

John was thinking aloud, "I didn't want to tell her earlier because she would get scared and probably die on me. I wanted her to calm down before I let her know. I think this is the right time."

So mother, I think it's time to let you know where I actually went to.

Did you lie to me, John?

I lied a little, mother, but I will tell you everything now.

Ok, I'm listening...

Mother, I went in search of a cure for your sickness because I am tired of seeing you like this. It pains me to see you struggle to sleep and to breathe, so I had to make a move so I don't lose my mother.

Tears started rolling down his mother's cheeks. Mother, please stop crying, ok? Just be happy that at least you will be fine.

John wiped his mother's face as he continued...

Mother, I went to the mysterious world in search of the fruit of life.

Mysterious world? How did you do it because no human has ever made it back alive, so are you not human?

Mother, I am human, and I made it back alive because I was destined to return alive.

Did you know that one will have to pass through the jungle before getting to the mysterious world? John asked his mother

Yes, I am aware; still, I am surprised that you are alive to tell the story.

Mother, in that jungle lived a priestess who helped me get to the mysterious world at ease.

When she saw me, she called me by my name, John Duke. Welcome! You seek the fruit of life for your mother.

I became afraid because I don't know how she knew my name; she asked me to step forward and kiss her staff.

Mother, I thought that was the end of my life, but I summoned courage and kissed the staff, and immediately we appeared in the mysterious world.

Oh my God! John, that was a big risk. What if you didn't return?

Well, I am here sharing my story with you!

In the mysterious world was the tree with the fruit that cures all kinds of sicknesses.

The priestess brought the fruit to me and said, "Take this, divide it in two, give the first half to your mother, and allow her to sleep deep. Then, after seven days, give her the next half."

Mother, I was happy that I finally got hold of the fruit of life; at least you will be fine.

Mother, all we need to do now is get you the first half of the fruit so that you can eat and sleep deep. I want you to be totally well.

John brought the fruit and gave it to his mother, and after eating it, she fell asleep, and John went on to sleep beside her.

Seven days later, John gave the second half of the fruit to his mother; this time she didn't sleep but was fully healed as she continued to eat the fruit.

John was so happy to see that his mother was well again. "I am glad my journey was fruitful."

"But don't ever leave me lonely next time." John's mother said

There is no next time, mother; we are here together. They both laughed happily as they relaxed at home.

Thank you @ninapenda, for your story narrated in dialogues. You have a nice flow in your story and used the first part of the story well.

But what confused me a bit is

I can't explain how you survived it, but I thank you so much for being a good son, my husband, and my friend.

I will overlook the fact that you have overshot the word limit because I read a nice story from you. Thank you once again.

Thank you so much sir. I am glad you enjoyed the completion of my story...

About this, I may have over thought while trying to make up my story. I'm sorry I crossed the word limit.

No worries! You can edit it!

The word limit in this case of a few hundred is not a problem. but I keep it so I don't have to read novels that come in thousands

Edited sir. Hahahaha, very true sir, thank you so much for the correction!
