I don't know if Ukraine can be classified as a Western country, but in our country they don't put their old parents in a nursing home, and our children don't leave home at 18. These are our traditions and our mentality 🙂

I knew it haha. I love reading about history. It's true that your nation is going through a tough time, infact half the world is going through such crisis. Look at Palestine, Syria, Ukraine, etc. I just hope people learn to coexist peacefully.
