Whispers on The Beach : A Magical Moment
As Summer begins, the sun shines bright, and people of all ages , children, adults, and the elderly flock to the beach to escape the heat and enjoy the ocean's delight. The shoreline becomes a vibrant scene, where diverse individuals indulge in their unique pleasures. The waves caress the shore, captivating everyone.
Each person revels in their own joy, some swimming, others building sandcastles, a few horseback riding, and some enjoying leisurely camel rides. This experience is a departure from daily life.
Living in Karachi, we have three beautiful beach options: Clifton, Hawksbay, or Manora Beach. Manora stands out with its excellent security. There, people leave their worries behind, like shedding old clothes. Even the elderly become like children again, their eyes sparkling with joy.
I have a long-standing connection with the Beach, where my spirit soars.
Those moments when I would sit for hours, entranced by the sweet melody of the waves, lost in my thoughts, gazing at the waves as they danced towards the shore and retreated back into the ocean's embrace.
There was something inexplicably captivating about that scene that drew me in, like a siren's call. I would visit this enchanting spot two to three times a week, seeking solace in its tranquility, where the crowds were sparse and I could indulge in the symphony of the waves without distraction.
On one fateful Valentine's Day, I chanced upon a charming bench, where I sat, absorbed in the rhythmic conversation with the waves. when a cute baby Doll appeared before me, her delicate hands holding a bouquet of flowers, her innocent eyes locking onto mine, beckoning me with a gentle gesture, her attire adorned with intricate lace, a vision of loveliness that left me spellbound.
I gazed at her with wonder, transfixed by her presence. Then, her words compelled me to ponder, as she asked, with a hint of hope, "Would you like to buy these flowers?
Initially, I hastily agreed, but then a playful spark ignited in my mind, and I teasingly replied, "No, feigning poverty", seeking to tantalize her, just as she had interrupted my serene communion with the waves.
But her response left me even more astonished, as she said, "Consider them a gift from me." I was dumbfounded, for how could this cute Doll, perhaps a flower vendor, offer me a free gift?
Her generosity was a balm to my soul, a testament to the unexpected delights that life has to offer.
But then, I unexpectedly pulled out some cash from my pocket and handed it to her, saying, "Keep the flowers, I have no need for them." She looked at me with wonder, asking, "why You don't need them?" I replied, "No, I have no one to give them to., Do one thing, keep the money and give these flowers to any couple you see around here, free of charge.
She smiled ,took the money and disappeared without a trace, leaving me to ponder her enigmatic presence. I gazed into the distance, trying to catch a glimpse of her, but she had vanished into thin air.
I couldn't shake off the feeling that our encounter was a fleeting moment of serendipity, a whispered secret between two strangers, never to be repeated again.
