Introduction

We came to the end of the fourth season through its fourth week of the engagement challenge, which ran from September 19 to September 25, 2022. In this report we will summarize all the data we had during this period and concerning your participation in the competition organized by the Steemit Crypto Academy community which aimed to study the subject of Forks when a blockchain diverges into two potential paths forward.

As mentioned, the theme for the fourth week contest was Blockchain Forks, in which users were asked to give their thoughts on the following:

  • Using your own terms to define what is a fork in general?

  • Using any blockchain example, explain what a Hard Fork is.

  • Using any blockchain example, explain what a Soft Fork is.

  • What are the differences between Hard Forks and Soft Forks?

  • Explain the Steem and Hive Hard fork by showing the similarities/differences in their Genesis blocks.

Overall, the entries we checked were good in terms of content quality with some entrants moving forward with their first stints in cryptocurrency contests through this new challenge to enter and we hope to find more other steemians in future seasons. So without talking too much, we go directly to the stats and nominations.
