The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi estimates that cryptocurrency and bitcoin will color international trade transactions.
This is reflected in the annual growth of 3.4 percent of international trade transactions and it is estimated that investment in developing countries or emerging markets will grow by 6 percent.
Seeing the rapid growth in trade and investment, it is not impossible that the means of payment or currency used will also be increasingly diverse. Including cryptocurrency and bitcoin.
"We predict that currencies such as Euro, US Dollar, Poundstrelling, Yen will turn into regional currencies. Even cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin will also give their own color to world currencies," explained Trade Minister Lutfi at the MillennialHub 2021 event, Saturday (17/4).
He said that this condition would divide the world economy and its power would no longer be dominated by important countries, such as the G20, which represents more than 70 percent of the world economy.
"With the distribution of the main currency, the world economy will be evenly distributed in all parts," he said.

He continued, when the economy is evenly distributed throughout the world, there will be 8.1 billion people out of 9.45 billion people in the world who will become middle class or middle class people.
This middle class group of people is important for improving the economy, both from the consumption sector and improving the world economy as a whole.
"Middle class is the families who buy the first vehicle, the second air conditioner and this is important for the world economy," he explained.
"We also see natural resources as very important, because population growth in Asia and Africa is very high, causing the natural resources to increase, not multiplication but exponential," he continued.
