LET YOUR WORDS BE FEW.

Proverbs 10 v 19:
"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise".

The reason we need to speak less is because too many words inevitably result in sin. We are to be like Christ and that's why we are Christians. Jesus, our example, limited himself to speaking only what the Father asked him to.

We live in information age, but we must be guided with God's words, and be wisdom personified. Listen more, talk less but meaningfully.

To listen more and talk less is wisdom, which starts by paying attention to God's instructions and what others have to say, wherein lies the word of transformation. Beware of subtle pride, which is talking too much to the extent of not hearing what others say.

You're not as smart or as clever as you think you are, someone somewhere is more knowledgeable than you are. Be patient enough to hear others' views. There is a time to speak and a time to listen to others.

Proverbs 29 v 20: "Do you see a man who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for him".

Develop the skill of listening, it's an important part of the communication process. A man's inability to communicate is as a result of his failure to listen effectively, skilfully and with understanding to another person.

If you find it difficult to listen to man; there's virtually no way you will hear God speak because He speaks to the man who gives Him rapt attention.

If you are a child of God and you do not hear Him, ask Him to speak to you. If you're yet to give your life to Jesus, do so today and you will begin to hear Him and obey His command. Amen.
