Mt 5:17-19
Jesus said to his disciples:
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets.
I have come not to abolish but to fulfill.
Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away,
not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter
will pass from the law,
until all things have taken place.
Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments
and teaches others to do so
will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.
But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments
will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.”

"I have come not to abolish but to fulfill."- Mt 5:17

Reflection:
Jesus says that he has come to fulfill the law which means that he has come to bring out the real meaning or essence of God's commandments Whatever God says or does is out of love. So, God's Word & commandments are given because of love. If we love God, we obey his commands. In doing this, we are also fulfilling God's law of love. Do you know by heart & keep God's ten commandments?

Lord Jesus, You are love and I am saved because of your love. Thank you Lord Jesus for the promise of eternal life. May your grace help me to obey always your commandments of love.

God bless you!
