September 2024 Solar Stats ☀️😎

in Solar Steem3 months ago

What a difference a month makes, for the past 3 odd months we have been around the 35% self powered mark.

Then Spring arrives at the start of September and the nicer weather appears ☀️😎, for September 2024 we jumped up to 57% self powered which is a nice bump!

Our house used 994 kWh in August 2024 mainly due to the cold wet & windy weather, with nicer weather arriving we only used 845kWh in September.

We only generated 402 kWh for August 2024 and in September we did significantly better at 541 kWh, this number will continue going up as we get into Summer - YAY!

This shows what the Powerwall did in September and it was good to see the powerwall being charged by Solar.

So overall September 2024 has been a good jump away from the horrible winter we had, the weather can only get better going forward which means more Solar production.

Here are the last1️⃣1️⃣ months to catch you up on the action.

Our new photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof and connected to the grid operator at the end of October.
Just in time for the beginning of the very dark season... 😂

A goodnews to start my morning. Congratulations 🎊 !

I think you should employ me for maintenance every 6 months...

Thank you, but please don't be too hasty with your congratulations. So far the tradesmen have only registered by telephone (after a 20% deposit)... ;-) We will celebrate when the sun reaches our sockets... :-))

Every 6 months?! That will probably be the highest maintenance costs I've ever paid, because I'll have to pay for the flight from Nigeria and back... ;-)

Oh that is excellent news, you are gonna love it even in Winter.

How exciting! I assume this is for your “outdoor tool storage area” with the generated power used to keep everything lovely and warm 😊

Haha, yes, I’ll have to rearrange things again or get a very, very long cable (about 1 kilometer): today we had the first frost in the pasture. That’s early. Well, hopefully this way the parasites or their eggs that are still lurking in the grass will freeze earlier…

Nice! Have you ever reach 100% self power - say, in the summer months?

92% in February of this year, the problem then is running air con which uses a bit.

Probably need another 4-6 solar panels

I think September was a great month. And I am glad it's way better than last month. We are gradually moving into the solar months.

Let's see what this new month would bring.

We had another stunning sunny day here today.

Good for Solar generation

Very interesting...I've wondered for a while if these were worth it.
