The truth is an earthquake is a serious disaster that can happen at any given time, most especially in this period of rainy season that we are into.
One good thing about my country Nigeria that I think is that Nigeria is not a country that is linked with earthquakes. Although, even though Nigeria is not chiefly linked with earthquakes, we have experienced some minor earthquakes in the past.
Do you think that people in your country are prepared for an earthquake?
Nigerians believe that Nigeria is a country that is not suited to seismic zones of the world it is only small earthquakes that have taken place in the country before now, have made Nigerians feel reluctant to prepare for an earthquake.

The first ever earth that happened in Nigeria was in 1933 when my parents self hadn't come together to give birth to me. Although this happened a long time ago, we have experienced other earthquakes in Nigeria, the last earthquake was in 2006.
People in my country are less concerned about earthquakes only those who are affected by erosion, whose mining sites are located in their communities are the people who are prepared for an earthquake.

No, I haven't had any experience with earthquakes before in my life, and I am praying not to even have an experience with earthquakes. Earthquakes can destroy our land, properties, and even humans which I see as a very terrible disaster that is capable of causing more damage in our society than good.
Do you think that, because it is unlikely, it is a waste of time to prepare for it?
No, I don't think it is a waste of time to prepare for it. However what makes people see it as a waste of time to prepare is that it is unlikely, and their community isn't at risk for an earthquake to happen.
It is good for people to prepare themselves ahead of time, should it happen, and preparing ourselves ahead of time might even help to stop an earthquake from happening or reduce the overall damage that may occur if it happens.
Tell us about your experience and opinion on this matter.
Well, I haven't experienced an earthquake disaster before in my life and my opinion on this matter is that people to always prepare themselves in case such a thing happens.
Save money should in case this matter happens in the future, the money you have saved would help you to start your life again, also people should prepare themselves by taking care of erosion, by building their houses in good places.

Gracias a Dios tu país no se encuentra en zona sísmica, lo cual no significa que estén totalmente exentos de un evento leve. Ay muchas medidas en caso de sismo que son similares a otros sucesos naturales, tener esa información nunca está de más para tener idea de que hacer antes, durante y después.
