Orest was born in Russia on March 13, 1782 (March 24 in the Gregorian calendar). He was the son of a landowner who refused to acknowledge him; so he changed his surname to the name of his village Koporié, today the Lomonosov district. Over the years, the last name changed to Koporski and then Kiprensky.

He studied at the Russian Academy of Fine Arts until 1803.

He lived in Moscow, in Saint Petersburg, in Rome and in Naples.

In the year 1836 he married Anne-Marie Falcucci, and a few months after they were married he had October 12 of the same year, at the age of 54.

Below we will present three of his works so that you can choose the one that most motivates you to write. The first is called: "Girl wearing a garland of poppies" (1819), the second, "Neapolitan Boys Fishermen" (1829) and the third ***"The Young Gardener" *** (1817)
