On my way to and from my bank with our clunky car and my already cranky aching bony back

Almost perfect

This is a type of road which is made to give us a shorter access or way, sort of a shortcut made by the government to easily reach the town where we are going plus the routes to the upper provinces. It makes a big long curve to reach the side of the hi-way where we are going to where the branch of my bank of account is located, it has no branch in our town nor the city adjacent to our town so I have to really travel and it will get hard if I will only take a public transport even if I am not handicapped because of the distance of my bank from my home. That is why it is better to travel with your own vehicle if it is feasible and possible. In this photo I waited until the long road is not on a curve anymore for me to take a photo using my old Smartphone this scene where the long series of electric service poles are aligned and it was an almost perfect shot indeed and I am quite okay with the results even though my captured scene can be much better.

The over-taker

My father drives fast before but these days he just droves slower compared maybe ten years ago and I can really feel it as cars behind use would zip away as if we are a turtle racing with a white-tailed rabbit. However my mother just tell my father to always be care about driving which is maybe now my father just quite boring for me especially when we go to his preferred route on our way to and from my dialysis center which is not the hi-way but the provincial road where I can see much things along the road plus it is more bumpy using that road compared to the hi-way road.

Under the pregnant clouds

The weather now had already changed where during the late afternoon the moist dark clouds would form in the sky and then eventually fall down sometimes when there is still light from dusk and sometimes all night if not a few hours of relatively light rains. It was not like that during my high school years and earlier where there is a continuous rainfall but not very heavy where it only stops a couple of hours at a time several times a day and night. But I really like these kinds of rainfall behavior in my country because it cools the house enough to make me sleep better particularly when I take a shower before going back to bed. If the rainfall really extends beyond midnight, the coolness of the early morning gets too cold for comfort which makes me use my blanket which will only serve its purpose if I am getting cold with my vulnerable fatless body.

The story behind this photos

I decided to go to my bank because of both the text message and email that I received from the provider of my debit card had notified me that I must state the nature of my work to them in order for my debit card to continue its service for me. So I was able to email them but it turned out to be that I emailed the bank and not the support service team that maintains the debit card which is different from the support service of the bank. That is why after emailing them my answer to their notification about my debit card, I made a ticket to the bank and not the support service team. That is why my ticket cannot be figured-out by the bank and was raised to get to be answered by a different tier of customer support after saying that my concern is a complexed case. However after learning that my debit card is not affected after emailing the specific customer service team saying that my specific account is not affected, my worries got dispelled but I am still not sure but one thing is for sure though, that I will going to keep my account and I can get another debit card if my card got expired or another new but different one.

After coming to my bank and finally get a number and waited on my name to be called until I was called. I stated my concern to the bank officer telling her that I want to upgrade my account from the particular type of account that I have which a a very big capacity to store fund to that of a regular savings account. My reason is because of the email that I did received which is telling me to do what I mentioned above. She had found it odd because she is also a user of my particular debit card type and later she discovered that her account is a joint account and not really like mine. I also told her that I wanted to have a different debit card to substitute for this current debit card of mine which is said to get discontinued before this month ends.

The problem was that she was not aware of the email which I received and the process that I want to happen is not recommended as she explains that even without the card functioning, I can still use my bank account. Then after assessing that I am not able to get an e-wallet debit card, she just instructed me to go to the bank's website and make me apply for a different kind of debit card which I can use which actually fits my needs for withdrawing money but since I am using the bank's App, I can do more with my debit card like paying bills, transferring and receiving money, buying airtime loads for the SIM card that I use, etc. although with that type of debit card, I have to pay some fee for maintaining it although it is not an issue for me but it feels like my current debit card got demoted because of the fee that I have to pay every month of its use although the fee is quite negligible for me to worry about. But that type of debit card will earn interests if the money in it reaches 10,000 PH Pesos but take note that this is a bank type of interest rate which means it will be almost negligible of amount if it does yield an interest considering that inflation is really dragging the purchasing power of my country's own fiat currency. Also I do not want to park large amounts of money in my bank because I rather use my money where I can get more from the value of my money with a multitudes more of a yield even more than leveraging a house with maybe 1.5 million PH Pesos in value to rent it out to people who wants to rent it for 8,000 Pesos per month because even at bear markets I can earn double that or three times more in times of the bull market.

But I was able to contact the team which maintains my debit card and they swiftly told me that my type of account is not included as I mentioned already but only to those that have a different account are the ones that will get discontinued at around July 22nd this month to my relief and surprise at the same time. I said to myself "WTF man, all these trouble and uncertainty with regards to my debit card had turned out to be a non-issue in the first palace." But I am still confused if my current debit card will stop working come July 22nd or not but at least I can get the other option which at least will make me continue my financial transactions which I needed to do but with an only compromise that I have to pay for a monthly fee for using it. I already ordered a debit card from my other e-wallet from the digital bank which I am alternatively using for some of my needs so there will be no problem to get my cash from any ATM when I needed to have some cash to use for my own expenses. It still is turning out okay for me even if I lose access to my debit card because I really do not like a credit card as I do not want to spend money that I do not have and for my case it is pointless buy things on credit then suffer from fees of paying it back in increments because I just want to live within my means and it has been like that ever since I started earning online until now.

Anyway, during our trip yesterday I can feel the punishing heat because it is very humid that after going home I just have to take a shower to cool my body off from almost overheating. The breeze of air is not much of a help to cool my already aching body because of the extended time that I was sitting around inside the "airconless" car and while I was sitting on my dusty and seldom used wheelchair inside the bank and getting stared at some of the bank's customers inside and the finally talking to the bank officer about my concern with my specific bank account's debit card which I have gotten a clarity afterwards. Along our way home we bought a big oblong watermelon which has a yellow flesh as the round ones are already becoming no where to be found, I like the oblong type of watermelon because it has a thin outer skin and almost have a better and guaranteed sweeter taste compared to the round types which is so rare to find a sweet one if you will not spend a big amount from choosing them as showcased on the roadside vendors even if it the watermelon season and still you will not get what you want but rather an anemic one if you are a little bit unlucky. Anyway, upon reaching home I stripped all of my clothes while contending with the pain and heat plus being exhausted with all that short to and from the bank adventure and proceeded into the bathroom and cooling myself while washing my body again with soap and water. After going out from the shower I finally laid down my back and rested until my backbone recovered until it is not aching anymore. I concluded that I can never venture out from my home in an extended period of time sitting around because of my backbone condition and it does frustrate me because I wanted to attend my church physically but with my backbone condition not being really cooperating, it will just cause me a misery for trying considering that our church activity is about sitting in a few hours and three hours if you are lucky to have a short service. Maybe my bones will fully recover in the coming years if God wills it considering that it also took so many years before my bone condition went to the worst state of health and so I guess that it will take years for the problem to at least be more bearable compared to now.
