Exploring Fuengirola's Vibrant Street Art Scene - A Personal Journey

Hello. Let me tell you one of the most remarkable discoveries in Fuengirola, the Paseo de Los Murales (Mural Walk).This extraordinary artistic project will astound you. Want to know why? Well then, read further and I will narrate my experience.

I learned that the mayor Ana Mula had just inaugurated the successful and genuinely new mural itinerary in the El Boquetillo district. This initiative managed to take a spectacular turn in this iconic working-class neighborhood and turn it into an incredible outdoor museum. There are twenty large ornamental murals painted on the façades of buildings at La Paz and Valladolid streets and I could not wait to see them all. I wasn't going to miss the Mural walk. For this project urban artists of national and international reputations collaborated. I saw works by: Mon Devane, Lula Goce, Steve Camino etc.

As I continued along the path a plaque for each mural explained in a few terms who the artist was and the story of each mural. It was a great experience. One which I highly recommend because not only is El Boquetillo free, but it is very central regarding Fuengirola. It's within an elementary few minutes walk.

El Boquetillo is a historical neighborhood. The mural that impressed me is The Magic of Dreams by the artist Kato, in which a girl during sunset is holding a starfish in her hands and lighting up her face; it was chosen as number five worldwide on the Street art cities platform. I feel lucky that I've seen it with my eyes. It was a magical experience looking at the incredible artwork, surrounded by all that vibrancy. So, if you are ever in Fuengirola, do not miss the Mural Walk. It is a tour of never-ending wonders. You might find your new favorite artist; I did.
