"Creative Writing "Surprise"

As a housewife, I was responsible for taking care of my family and my home. Meanwhile, my husband worked hard to support our family. He loved me deeply and was always showing it. He frequently expressed that I was his entire world and that he couldn't picture life without me. I feel confident in our relationship because I know he genuinely cares for me. I cheerfully shared with my friends about my husband's loving behavior.

Every birthday, my hubby presents me with a valuable gift. He accompanied us everywhere to make us happy. He brought me foods that I enjoy eating. He was the best husband I'd ever known. Not only that, but his feelings for my two children remained constant. He never considered his comfort and instead focused entirely on ours.

He considered my family to be his own. Love them and help them whenever they need it. My mother said, "You are quite fortunate to have a partner like yours."

Every day when he left the house, he would kiss me and say, "Take care, stay blessed." My siblings treated him with the same regard that they did their own siblings. Our love has flown like a river, bringing emotions to my children and me. It had a strong link, and it could never destroy somebody.

One day, a close buddy came to my house and asked me to go out for an important matter. I couldn't be against her since she was my better half. I grabbed the phone and called my husband to get permission to go out with my friend. My husband permitted me and instructed me to be careful. That was his way of showing his affection for me.

Then we both proceeded to the village area, although she didn't explain why. She merely requested me to accompany her. I trusted my friend because she was my childhood friend. She parked her car near the large restaurant and entered it. She went straight forward, stopped near a room, and requested me to tap the door to see one of my friends. I gently taped the door, and when it opened, I was surprised to see my husband with a towel wrapped around him. He was with another lady, and that moment crushed my trust. I felt like my entire world had fallen.

How can I believe this man, who once assured me I was everything to him and he only trusted me, was standing there with someone else? It felt like a bad dream, but it was real. I was left speechless, filled with pain and disbelief.

That day, I learned a painful truth. The person I had most trusted had surprised me. It’s hard to accept that sometimes the people closest to us can be the ones who hurt us the most. I realized I couldn’t continue to live a life built on lies. Though it was painful and heartbreaking, especially for our two children, I felt I had to make a strong decision for my own peace. I took the brave step of the decision to give him up legally, choosing a path forward built on honesty and self-respect. And, even if I find a way to recover, my surprise at that moment will remain a memory I will never forget.
