Hello Everyone!!

I hope you all are good and doing well. New week with new lesson. I'm excited to be a part of this amazing contest "SLC21W2 // Classic vanilla and chocolate cakes". Today for this contest i made cupcakes after a long time almost afyer 1 year. In my area there is load shedding of gas ,last time my cake was not rise properly due to fluctuation in gas supply.
My youngest daughter was very excited when i told her we will make cake. She was with me in kitchen and did beating of cake mixture.

Lets move to the recipe.

Yes, I have made many times classic cake at home. Mostly cupcakes are liked by my family. During vacation its our family activity we make different different recipes and baking dessert. My daughter wants to be a baking chef. She loves to do baking. I make cakes on my daughter's demand only. I like to make different baking items like stuffed buns, different breads, biscuits but cakes are baked on demand. I'm not very perfect at baking cakes but these classic cakes are simple can be made by beginners too perfectly.

Make one of the two cakes presented (detail ingredients and step by step) and indicate whether you followed the recipe we provided or prepared your traditional cake recipe.

Today I'm making vanilla classic by using the recipe given in lecture. My family love vanilla cake but i used less sugar according to my family's choice and used cupcakes mold for baking.

Ingredients

sugar160g
butter150
eggs3
all purpose wheat flour250g
baking powder4g
liquid milk250ml
Vanilla essence1tbsp

Utensils to use

Digital scale
Hand mixer or whisk
Strainer
Mould
Spatula
Butter paper

Procedure

  • Take butter and powder sugar of given quantity in a bowl, mixed well until creamy mixture.

  • Add three egg yolks one by one and beat it well. Beat the mixture after adding one youlk then add second yolk then beat then add 3rd one. After these add egg white in mixture and beat to mix ingredients well.

  • Add 250ml of milk at room temperature in bowl and mixed it well. Add 1tbsp of vanilla essence in mixture and mixed it well.
  • Add flour and baking powder and add this dry ingredients to mixture bowl by passing through Stevie. It helps to add oxygen to the mixture ,that help in rising cakes.

  • Now fold this dry mixture to the bowl ,at this point we just mixed not beat. Please make sure there should be no lumps of flour in mixture. Add this mixture in a greased mold . Today I'm ising cupcakes mold on my daughter's demand.

  • Place this mold in preheated oven fo 12-14min check by toothpick if it's come out clean means cake is ready.

  • As classic cake are simple sponge so i didn't garnish it. Second bath of cupcakes are decorated.

What was the most difficult thing for you when preparing the cake?

  • Gas fluctuation was making my baking difficult.. i take out all ingredients at day time before dinner making but we couldn't start baking , at evening at start bKi g.

  • I have less quantity of butter so i used ghee so I was worry to don't waste my other ingredients. But I bakes tasty cupcakes for my kids.

✓ Do you have any special tips for making perfect cakes? Share them.

I used these tips to make perfect cupcakes.

  • Measure all ingredients at Digital scale. Accuracy of ingredients matter on perfect baking .

  • Use all ingredients at room temperature.

  • Dry ingredients should be mixed and add to the mixture by passing through Stevie.

  • Dont open oven again and again ,it will effect baking time and texture.

  • Take out cake from mold when it gets cool down.

These are few tips that i tried when i baking a cake.

Greeting mam, baking the classic vanila cupcakes for attending in Steemit challenge must be amazing. I love the way your daughter helped you in time of mixing this shows the sweet bond you have with your daughter. Though facing many obstacles like gas load shedding but finally you made the wonderful cupcakes which were delicious to taste no doubt because you have made it. Your consciousness about your family members health which i can clearly seen by reading that you have made cupcakes by reducing the sugar. The innovative and intellectuals idea using ghee instead of butter i love the most and i say keep my eyes close the cupcakes must be yummy. The baking ideas which you have shared are really helpful. I learned some new techniques by reading this baking article & Inn Sha Allah i'll applied it in my future baking purpose. My best wishes always for you.
